Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames, using hand tools and power tools.
• Measure parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and verniers.
• Read technical drawings and specifications to determine component parts and assembly sequences of electromechanical units.
• Understand geometrical tolerances on drawings and specifications.
• Attach name plates and mark identifying information on parts.
• Disassemble units to replace parts or to crate them for shipping.
• File, lap, and buff parts to fit, using hand and power tools.
• Clean and lubricate parts and subassemblies, using grease paddles or oilcans.
• Drill, tap, ream, countersink, and spot-face bolt holes in parts, using drill presses and portable power drills.
• Operate lift trucks or small cranes to transport or position large parts.
• Complete all necessary documentation for regulatory compliance (as needed).
• Perform any other task or assignments as designated by supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 7 - 10 years of relevant experience in assembly processes
TECHNOLOGY SKILLS (* Must Haves):
• Calendar and scheduling software — Microsoft Outlook
• Data base user interface and query software — Data entry software, Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server
• Electronic mail software — Microsoft Outlook
• Internet browser software — Microsoft Exchange or similar
• Office suite software — Microsoft Office
• Spreadsheet Software — Microsoft Excel
• Enterprise resource planning ERP software — Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, SAP, M2M, or Similar
